2011 Star Stryker Review

This year, Star Motorcycles will introduce its new cruiser model, the 2011 Star Stryker. This bike is a synergy of modern performance, custom styling, and quality performance. All these features are available for around $10,000.

Power

The 2011 Star Stryker was not made to compete with the Hayabusa for sale, but it still provides several impressive features. A 1304cc engine powers the machine and fuel is pumped through an electric injection system. To increase comfort for the rider, Yamaha added twin counter balancers. Power to the rear tire is routed by a belt drive.

Aesthetics

When it comes to design, the Stryker shows its true potential. This bike has a low and long stance that looks unique from any other stock cruiser bike on the market. The engine cases are blacked out along with the shotgun-styled exhaust and radiator. Each cylinder features an air-fin that makes the Stryker look like an air-cooled motorbike. This bike rolls with an 18 inch rear wheel and 21 inch front wheel. Both of the wheels have a 5-spoke design and have been made out of cast aluminum. The front rim uses a 120/70 tire and a larger 210/40 tire is used for the back.

Big bikes need big brakes for good performance. The Stryker is no exception, featuring a 310 millimeter brake disk for the back and 310 millimeter brake disk on the front. Despite the large tire and wheel size of this motorbike, the seat height is very low at 26.4 inches. This low seat height allows the Stryker to be driven by all riders, regardless of their height. The width of the bike is not too big, so you don't need to be a large person to comfortable ride for long distances. This motorbike is currently available in three colors, Raven, Impact Blue, and Reddish Copper. The Stryker will likely hit markets in September 2011.
