Mini Choppers

Mini choppers are small bikes that are primarily made for kids but may also be used for offroad racing by adults. Mini choppers may look rough and tough, just like motor bikes but the similarity ends there. These machines have smaller engines that may range anywhere from 25-125cc. Thus, it is obvious that these machines are very much toned down when compared to the meaner and bigger bikes.

Typically, choppers are custom designed although it is possible to buy them readymade. These are characterized by a relaxed and laidback seating position. The long fork gives them a truly sporty look. Just like professional bikes, the rear wheel has a wide base. The engines are customized to give out extra muscle and they emit a powerful sound.

Prices of mini choppers vary and depend on the design as well as the features of the bike. The kind of tires used, the power of the engine, petrol capacity are some of the features that decide the price of the chopper. While some choppers are built for show others are made for racing. Some choppers are meant for longer distances and these are more expensive when compared to bikes that are meant for fun only. Choppers meant for serious driving have wider tires for more traction. These are also equipped with powerful gears and brakes to ensure speed as well as safety. Good parts ensure longevity and therefore cost more.

In most cases, mini choppers are not street legal. This is because the bikes are lightweight and may easily topple. Also, mini choppers have very low speeds of below 50mph. However, some bikes are permitted to be driven on the roads. Street legal mini choppers must meet safety specifications and drivers must always use protective gear when riding them. That said, it must be remembered that riding mini shoppers on public roads is very dangerous because motorists may not really take notice of this toy edition. Mini choppers were devised for entertainment driving only and are meant for playgrounds, parks, campgrounds and other protected spaces.

Mini choppers may be custom made to suit individual preferences. DIY kits are available for those who want to try their hand at building their own bike from scratch. However, these kits are very basic and contain only the basic parts. Typically, they are meant for people who want to build a showpiece that offers some amount of fun. For serious purposes, the person who is building the bike has to research various components and finish building the bike according to individual requirements. Many people opt for DIY bikes because they are generally less expensive when compared to finished bikes. However, the actual price of the finished bike will depend on the components used by the person building the bike.

If you are buying finished bikes, it is necessary to find out the make and brand that are best suited for your needs. Make sure that you buy mini choppers from a reputed seller so that you can enjoy good after sales service.
